Questions answered.

Everything you need to know about working with ZEBA Interiors — from costs and timelines to process, fabrics and the consultation.

How much does bespoke interior design cost in the UK?

Bespoke interior design budgets vary widely depending on the scope of the project. A single-room scheme with custom soft furnishings typically starts at a few thousand pounds. A full residential scheme with bespoke furniture, curtains, rugs and complete specification can run from tens of thousands upwards. We provide indicative costs at your free initial consultation before any commitment is made.

How long does bespoke furniture take to make?

Lead times depend on the piece and the specification. Most upholstered sofas and chairs take 6 to 10 weeks from confirmed order to delivery. Bespoke headboards take 4 to 6 weeks. Handcrafted rugs take 8 to 16 weeks depending on complexity. We work to agreed deadlines and give clear, honest timelines before you confirm your order.

What is your interior design process?

We begin with a free consultation — at your home or in our Shipley studio — to understand the brief, the budget and the way you use the space. We develop a scheme, select materials together from our fabric library, and agree specifications and timelines clearly before anything is confirmed. Then we make, deliver and install. We work best when we are involved early, because decisions about furniture and soft furnishings interact with decisions about flooring, lighting and wall finishes.

Do you offer a free initial consultation?

Yes. Our initial consultation is free and carries no obligation. We can meet at your home, at our Shipley studio, or arrange a virtual session if you are further afield. The consultation gives us a chance to understand your project and gives you the opportunity to see our fabric library and discuss your brief in person before making any decisions.

Where is your showroom and design studio?

Our studio and fabric library are at Unit 2, 202 Market Street, Shipley, West Yorkshire, BD18 2BY. We are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. Clients from across West Yorkshire, England and Scotland are welcome to visit by arrangement. You can book a visit by calling 07982 778565 or emailing info@zebainteriors.co.uk.

Do you work on commercial interior design projects?

Yes. Commercial work is a significant part of our practice. Our portfolio includes The Washington Mayfair Hotel, the Dubrovnik Hotel, student accommodation developments, healthcare facilities, restaurants, bars and offices. We specify all commercial materials to contract grade and can provide compliance documentation for NHS and public sector procurement.

Can you design interiors for properties outside Yorkshire?

Yes. We work across the UK. England and Scotland are both primary markets for us alongside West Yorkshire. We travel for initial consultations, manage production from our studio, and deliver and install across the country. London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and beyond are all within our regular project range.

What fabric brands do you carry in your library?

Our fabric library includes ranges from Designers Guild, Sanderson Design Group (including Harlequin, Clarke and Clarke, and Zoffany), Colefax and Fowler, Osborne and Little, Nina Campbell, Ralph Lauren Home, Romo, Warwick Fabrics, and over ten further leading UK and European houses. We carry residential and contract-grade ranges, spanning velvets, linens, wools, weaves, leathers and prints.

Do you make bespoke rugs?

Yes. We supply handcrafted rugs woven to a custom size, colour specification and pile weight. Rugs are typically made to order and take 8 to 16 weeks depending on complexity. We work with clients to specify the right wool quality, construction and dimensions for the room.

Can you reupholster existing furniture?

Yes. Reupholstery is one of our most valued services. A piece of well-made furniture — a sofa, armchair, dining chair or headboard — can outlast multiple fabric lifetimes if the frame is sound. We can reupholster in a new fabric from our library and, where needed, replace the internal filling and suspension to restore the piece to original comfort.

Still have questions?
