Bombay 2 Goa Restaurant
United Kingdom
The brief
Bombay 2 Goa needed a fit-out with energy and warmth that could still take the punishment of a busy restaurant. ZEBA produced custom banquette seating, bespoke curtains and handcrafted decorative wall art, with fabrics and finishes chosen to reflect the vibrancy of the dining concept.
Our approach
The design had to carry the character of the concept without becoming impractical. Banquette seating was made to the dimensions of the room to maximise covers while keeping the layout comfortable, and decorative wall art was produced in our studio so it belonged to the same scheme as the seating and curtains rather than being sourced separately as decoration.
Materials and fabrics
Fabric specification was led by hospitality use: durable, cleanable materials with the colour saturation the concept needed. In a restaurant, upholstery meets food, drink and constant turnover, so wearing well and cleaning well matter more than they do in almost any other interior — and that constraint was set before the aesthetic decisions, not after.
The result
A restaurant interior that is both distinctive and genuinely practical. The fit-out shows that bespoke hospitality work does not force a choice between character and durability when the materials are specified properly from the start.
