Dubrovnik Hotel

The brief

The Dubrovnik Hotel brief asked for an interior that felt refined but relaxed, drawing on Mediterranean warmth without slipping into pastiche. ZEBA was appointed to supply the full soft furnishings package, which meant upholstery, rugs, curtains and decorative accessories all had to be developed together rather than sourced separately and reconciled later.

Our approach

Taking the whole package allowed us to design the scheme as one coherent set of decisions. Colour, texture and scale were resolved across every element at the same time, so the rugs, upholstery and window treatments share a palette rather than approximating one. Everything was produced in the UK to the client's specification, with samples signed off before production so there were no surprises at installation.

Materials and fabrics

The palette leaned on warmth and texture: fabrics with visible weave and depth rather than flat colour, chosen so the interior reads as considered under both daylight and evening lighting. Rugs were handcrafted to the room sizes rather than bought in standard dimensions, which keeps the furniture layout and the floor covering in proportion to each other.

The result

The finished interior feels cohesive because it was specified as a whole. It is the kind of quality guests register without necessarily being able to name — consistent finish, correct proportions, and materials that hold up to the wear a hotel puts them through.
